Reese Commercial Closes Sale of Historic 36 John Street in Hartford

Dale Reese, Managing Principal of Reese Commercial represented 7 Summits Realty LLC, the Buyer. Arnold Grant,of Arnold J. Grant Associates, Inc. and Linda Hicks of William Pitt Sotheby’s represented Lightspace LLC, the Seller.

The Building is located on John Street which is just west of Main Street near Park and Main Streets. Located close to Hartford’s South Green and the CBD, 36 John Street has a storied past. Constructed circa 1920, the building served as the Equipment Maintenance Shop for Firehouse Engine Company 1. As detailed in the National Register of Historic Places, design elements include brick walls with stone and rows of 16 over 12 casement towering windows giving a Neo-Classical appearance to this old Firehouse.
7 Summits Realty LLC will be leasing the building to 3-4 tenants. Freeman Companies LLC will be the lead tenant occupying 6,000 on the second floor of the building. Freeman Companies offers a diverse range of services including Civil Engineering, Land Surveying and Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering.
